Zoc and Didi - Agnosticism

Meet Zoc and Didi
Discussion:
 UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Zoc loves the beachfront around the pier in Humewood, Port Elizabeth.  The view of the sea is riveting. Dolphins leap out of the water as they hunt in schools. If you are patient you might well see a whale blowing. Sea birds are everywhere.
The beach and sea front is full of life: swimmers, surfers, board sailors, people out walking with their dogs, joggers, cyclists. Cafes with outside tables and chairs. This is where Zoc really enjoys himself, drinking coffee and solving the world's problems with his "bar-room philosopher" friends. One such friend is Didi.

Didi, carrying his coffee, joins Zoc at one of the tables

Zoc: Late as usual, did you oversleep ..... again?

Didi: I must admit I did. Big bash last night. Our company has just won a huge tender. We were celebrating with our supporters. Late night stuff.

Zoc: (Zoc looks out to sea to the left of the pier.) Sorry to interrupt. (Zoc points.) Look over there. That is a whale blowing. Amazing sight.

Didi: Must be the time the whales come to have their calves or whatever.

Zoc: Yes, a beautiful sight too. But lets get on with our discussion. You were asking me about agnosticism.

Didi: OK -  You told me you believed in God but at the same time you were an agnostic. Surely that cannot be?
